A walk over the footbridge
As it became clear it wouldn't be with us too much longer, I took a walk over the footbridge and back again for the sake of nostalgia and took a few photos.
It had been many years since I had used the footbridge from Balham Road to The Concourse but having learned that it might possibly only be with us for another month or so I felt it was time to take a nostalgic walk over the bridge. The photos are of anything that took my fancy at the time and are mostly of the bridge itself but also include a few of the views from the bridge as they have been lost as well.
The walk to the top of the bridge was smoother than I expected it to be, probably because my stride pattern now better matched the steps, but it was every bit as long. You could easily really get quite dizzy and disorientated too.
Once at the top you got a much different view of The Green and it seemed less noisy and the air seemed fresher. It would have been quite nice to have had some seats up there for people to relax but I guess it wouldn't be the most safe and secure environment.
